Wicklow B&B: Lettermore Country Home is situated in a delightful rural area just two miles south of Rathdrum on the Avoca road (R752) in County Wicklow, The Garden of Ireland, just one hour's drive south of Dublin and adjacent to Avondale Forest Park, home of Charles Stuart Parnell.
Avoca village is four miles away and is the location of the very popular BBC TV series, Ballykissangel. Avoca is situated in a picturesque valley stretching back to the Meeting of the Waters which is two miles away. The poet Thomas Moore immortalised this meeting point. Here on a rustic seat, formed from the root of a tree, Moore is said to have written the words of the famous Irish song, the Meeting of the Waters.
