The picturesque village of Portmagee is within walking distance with its great pubs, restaurants, traditional music and dance. Overlooking Portmagee Channel with views of Valentia, Bray Head and the Atlantic Ocean. Things to do locally include a visit to Glanleam House & Subtropical Gardens, Valentia Heritage Centre, Valentia Island Ice Cream factory, producing award-winning ice cream in many flavours, Tetrapod Trackpads, laid down some 385 million years ago and so much more to see and do.

Claiming the best views in Ireland, the Scarriff Inn B&B at Caherdaniel is a family run Bed and Breakfast Inn renowned for its Irish welcome. From all bedrooms there are majestic views of Derrynane, Kenmare Bay and Bantry Bay. The Inn is halfway round the Ring of Kerry midway between Waterville and Sneem. Dine in the seafood restaurant and sample the outstanding cuisine as recommended by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber or relax in the Visa bar and enjoy the scenery and ambience.

It is an ideal base for touring the beautifully scenic Ring of Kerry, a trip not to be missed, which passes close by. All the rooms have views of the sea and mountains, and have en-suite bathrooms, WiFi and TVs. On arrival you will be greeted by delicious home baking and tea or coffee.
