Our B&B is located on the Sky Road at the waterfront in a lovely bay. You will stay in a quiet and comfortable house. Clifden town, heart of Connemara, is only at 5 minutes by car. Famous sites like Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Ballyconneely's golf, Roundstone or port of Cleggan (departure to Inishbofin) are very closed to us. Ideally located as a base to visit the famous Ring of Kerry or the Skellig Islands now an UNESCO heritage site, where boats trips depart daily and can be arranged on request. Carraig liath house consists of three large en-suite bedrooms, all tastefully decorated to a very high standard, with orthopaedic beds, power showers, hairdryers, tvs, tea and coffee and free high speed internet access , all with comfort in mind. Five minutes walk to Portmagee where you can sample traditional music on Friday and Sunday nights, and why not partake in the Irish night on Tuesdays nights. As Newcastle West is a country town, you will meet mostly locals who are always ready for fun! We have a wide variety of shops and restaurants in the town where guests can sample local produce.
