Wicklow B&B: Lettermore Country Home is situated in a delightful rural area just two miles south of Rathdrum on the Avoca road (R752) in County Wicklow, The Garden of Ireland, just one hour's drive south of Dublin and adjacent to Avondale Forest Park, home of Charles Stuart Parnell. Avoca village is four miles away and is the location of the very popular BBC TV series, Ballykissangel. Avoca is situated in a picturesque valley stretching back to the Meeting of the Waters which is two miles away. The poet Thomas Moore immortalised this meeting point. Here on a rustic seat, formed from the root of a tree, Moore is said to have written the words of the famous Irish song, the Meeting of the Waters.

Also being ideally situated for touring the unspoiled Beara Peninsula, and the famous Ring of Kerry. Molly Gallivan's Cottage and Traditional Farm is only a five-minute drive away. World famous Garnish Island Gardens in the idyllic village of Glengarriff are only a twenty-minute drive away. The newly opened Bonane Heritage Park is five minutes walk from us. This park contains many ancient sites of archaeological interest, ring forts, stone circles, a famine ruin and standing Stones. It shows that our parish of Bonane was inhabited 6000 years ago. Guided walks can be arranged around the park.
