Lyntom House B&B is a luxury country home, situated on the delightful West Limerick Drive R523 between Newcastle West and Listowel. We are just 2ks from the Village of Athea on the banks of the river Gale abundant in trout and eel. We are on an elevated site in a rural country setting, with views over woodland and west limerick hills. Wildlife such as Foxes, Badgers, Hares, Rabbits, and wild Pheasant is a constant feature in the fields in and around our property. All rooms are en-suite comfortably furnished with quality beds, TV, tea, coffee and hair dryers. Rooms are bright and spacious. We also have a common room with fireplace for guests to relax in peaceful surroundings. Our Garden has a patio area, beside a small stream in our property where our guests can also relax while taking in the hillside views. From Dublin it's a 4hr drive, Shannon Airport is 50ks, Kerry Airport 30ks and about 2 hrs drive from Cork Airport. We are ideally situated for day trips to The Ring Of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle and historic Limerick City. We are just 10K from the village of Glin which has spectacular views over the river Shannon. The villages and towns that surround us are all very unique in their own way, with plenty of restaurants and music bars. Walking or Cycling is also an attractive pastime along our quiet country lanes. What makes our B&B different is that we are slightly off the beaten tourist track, yet close enough to do all the usual tourist attractions available. Lyn and Tom take great pride in ensuring their guests are made welcome and comfortable. Tourist advice and information on areas of local interest is readily available. Clare Manor is ideally located on the Limerick Road on the outskirts of Ennis town and 20km from Shannon Airport. The house is situated off exit 12 of the M18 motorway. Leave the M18 at junction 12, then at the Killow West roundabout take the first exit onto N85 (signposted Ennis, Ennistimon). At the Clareabbey roundabout, take the third exit onto the Limerick Road - R458 (signposted Ennis). At the next small roundabout, take the second exit. Clare manor is the fourth house on the right. We are a family run Bed and Breakfast, The Ford. Nestled amongst the Caha Mountains, overlooking the Sheen River and six miles from the well-known heritage town of Kenmare noted for its Award Winning Restaurants, Galleries and Craft shops. The Ford Bed and Breakfast is located on the Beara Way, making it a prime location for keen walkers. Also being ideally situated for touring the unspoiled Beara Peninsula, and the famous Ring of Kerry. Molly Gallivan's Cottage and Traditional Farm is only a five-minute drive away. World famous Garnish Island Gardens in the idyllic village of Glengarriff are only a twenty-minute drive away. The newly opened Bonane Heritage Park is five minutes walk from us. This park contains many ancient sites of archaeological interest, ring forts, stone circles, a famine ruin and standing Stones. It shows that our parish of Bonane was inhabited 6000 years ago. Guided walks can be arranged around the park.

A wonderful start point to Doolin, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Alliwee Caves, Kilkee (Greg Norman designed Golf course) and Kilrush with its marina.

The peninsula of Howth Head is 7km away, and has breathtaking views of Dublin Bay and the East Coast.
