Swaynes Firs Farm is an 11 acre smallholding. We mainly keep beef cattle and a variety of poultry. We try to create a haven for our song birds, which we have encouraged over the years with feeding and habitat. We are close to Salisbury and ideal for touring the many heritage sites. Children are welcome to help with egg collection or feeding of our birds or animals.

Welcome to Stourview Cottage. This 300 year old family home was originally built in 1720 and was then known as White Hill House. Stourview Cottage is not visible from the road, White Hill, as it is up its own private driveway. Once at the top there is plenty of turning and parking for guests. Stourview stands on an elevated & secluded site overlooking Wye, Boughton Alluph and the North Downs. The cottage has many original features including the large inglenook\'s, one of which sits in The Garden Suite\'s snug, another is home to the range cooker in the kitchen.
There are numerous walks and cycle paths from Bridge Cottage B&B Woodnewton, including public footpaths leading to either Fotheringhay where Mary Queen of Scots died, Southwick, Bulwick, Apethorpe, or Nassington, through woods and across fields or within close range of Fotheringhay Church and Castle, Southwick Hall, Blatherwyke Lake and Barnwell Country Park. Sit down by the Willowbrook on a glorious summer evening and admire the beautiful rolling countryside all around you. The cattle gaze at you from across the stream whilst you can unwind from the stresses of daily life watching not only the swans on the brook, the kingfishers whizzing up and down, the red kites in the skies above.
