The Thornton Hunt Inn is a traditional Freehouse set in an attractive grade II listed building. The Inn is situated in the quaint village of Thornton Curtis on the A1077. Homemade bar food is available daily (check web site for times), choice of two real ales and other draught beers are available. We offer several en-suite bedrooms graded to 4 Star "VisitEngland" classification.
The accommodation is on the first floor and is clean, fresh and very comfortable with double bed en-suite bathroom tastefully furnished and decorated with welcome tray, TV, WiFi, hairdryer. A full English breakfast is served with other options available if requested.
There are numerous walks and cycle paths from Bridge Cottage B&B Woodnewton, including public footpaths leading to either Fotheringhay where Mary Queen of Scots died, Southwick, Bulwick, Apethorpe, or Nassington, through woods and across fields or within close range of Fotheringhay Church and Castle, Southwick Hall, Blatherwyke Lake and Barnwell Country Park. Sit down by the Willowbrook on a glorious summer evening and admire the beautiful rolling countryside all around you. The cattle gaze at you from across the stream whilst you can unwind from the stresses of daily life watching not only the swans on the brook, the kingfishers whizzing up and down, the red kites in the skies above. Guests are made to feel welcome from the minute they arrive at Bridge Cottage B&B Woodnewton, and during the year can appreciate a calm, quiet, relaxing environment from the comfort of the new conservatory at any time of year. Children and dogs welcome, under supervision!
