Seventeenth century country house in the heart of Ireland. 76 acres of woodland with fairy forts and some 300 trees which are centuries old. Bird watching on the lake or fly fishing with boat. A 2.5 acre walled garden with some great walks for garden lovers. As soon as you enter the grounds, driving through the stone arch and past the gate house, you will catch your first glimpse of Lough Ourna, Gaelic for "the lake of the barley". The long driveway to the house offers some superb views of the lake, framed by the ring forts on the shore and the Sleeve Bloom Mountains beyond. All bedrooms have private bathroom and some have a view of the lake. A choice of breakfast awaits you in the dining room. From the full Irish cooked breakfast to the more moderate continental breakfast with fresh fruit, there is no better way to start the day.
